Passion, Persuasion and Profession

Pursuing a passion requires time, dedication and of course required skill set. Mostly the reward is personal satisfaction and appreciation from friends or like minded people. But the financial reward is the better when one begins to spend significant personal time and energy and use skill as a favor to others. Considering capital and hours utilized ‘helping’ others, I have made a resolution to charge for ‘help’ for personal photographs like a professional. This will either help me financially or free up my time. Let us see if passion and profession merge paths.

While continuing to learn new techniques and acquire better photography equipment, I will keep posting pictures of people, nature and places at a public Facebook website.     Only when you charge people, they take it seriously and expect value out of it. That benefits both the receiver and the giver. That's professionalism and there is nothing wrong with it. All the best for your endeavor.

    We need to do that..Cuz anything for free has no value and less chances of rising..then you r taken for granted!
    help only your v ery close friends ..."SO THAT THEY CIRCULATE YOUR PICTURES AMONG FRIENDS"..get more recognition.. and jus a tip...(since ma hubby does the same)

    If ‘A’ decides to make his avocation , a vocation , no one should have any objection. Passion and profession can for sure merge paths. As Robert Frost has beautifully put it :
    But yield who will to their separation,
    My object in living is to unite
    My avocation and my vocation
    As my two eyes make one in sight.
    Only where love and need are one,
    And the work is play for mortal stakes,
    Is the deed ever really done
    For heaven and the future´s sakes.

    Passion is like web page. Profession is for loop.
    They do not meet anywhere to the best of my knowledge.
